Forrest’s love of art began with her great grandmother, Ann Marie Brown, who was a professional artist in multiple mediums in the early 1900s. As a hobby, Forrest experimented with various mediums and self taught arylics and oil. In 2014, she took her first watercolor class with Roy Paschal and has 162 hours of watercolor instruction learning color theory, design, perspective and the importance of values. Forrest also is a pyrographist (paints with fire) and a colorist.
By day Forrest is a director of nursing at Palmetto Health. She obtained her nursing degree from Penn State University and a master’s in training and development from St. Francis University. She has always been creative, artistic and an out of the box thinker as she helped others develop nursing skills throughout her career.
Forrest is a member of Trenholm Artist Guild and Blythewood Artist Guild.
Forrest's art is also available at Swamp Log Gallery in Bishopville and Carmen's Salon in Columbia.
