Monoprint Collage (mixed media)

Family Portraits

Forrest’s love of art began with her great grandmother, Ann Marie Brown, who was a professional artist in multiple mediums in the early 1900s.   She would study her paintings and try to figure out the story with each painting.  Forrest began drawing at an early age.  As an experiential learner, she became comfortable with various mediums through trial and error.  In the gallery, Forrest has drawings (oil, wax, and water based color pencil and pastels) ,paintings (watercolor and acrylic), and monoprint collages.  She also is a pyrographist (paints with fire).  Forrest can achieve realism, abstraction and abstracts in various mediums.

Forrest is a retired director of nursing from Prisma Health. She obtained her nursing degree from Penn State University and a master’s in training and development from St. Francis University.  She has always been creative, artistic and an out of the box thinker as she helped others develop nursing skills throughout her career.

Forrest is a member of Trenholm Artist Guild and Blythewood Artist Guild.

Forrest's art is also available at Swamp Log Gallery in Bishopville and Carmen's Salon in Columbia.
