GO FIGURE - will resume in the fall. 

Create an oil painting with Artist Karen Langley. Fee: $100 for 6 weeks.  Classes are ongoing and you may start any Tuesday morning from 10 am. to 12:30 p.m.  Learn to work with oil paint and improve your skills.  Karen Langley will teach basic painting techniques, color mixing and selection, explore oiil mediums, as well as composition. We will paint from your photo. Bring in a still life or a landscape photo. No Portraits! We will have lots of fun and learn some great tips about oil painting. KIDS SUMMER ART CLASS.  Week long classes taught by artist Dawn Faber will be offered for $80, all supplies included. Classes will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. June 14-18 for 1st - 5th graders and July 19-23 for 6th - 8th graders.  Pre-registration at the gallery is required.  Class size will be limited, so register now. Beginning Watercolor Painting Classes with Barbie Mathis (ages 18 and up only)  Beginning Wednesday, June 16 from 10:00 to 12:30 p.m. for six weeks.  Fee: $120. Students will learn about various supplies and techniques used to create a variety of effects in watercolor. Instructor will explain color mixing while helping the class create a floral and landscape paintings from enlarged photographs.  Participants may bring a photo of a single flower or simple landscape or work from instructor's supply. On-going students may work at their own pace while instructor guides the process. 

Continuing Colored Pencils with Paula Grookett, May 27 to June 17, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. for four weeks.  Fee: $100.  For students who have completed the Beginners Colored Pencil class.  Individual projects.

Acrylic Abstract Collage with Gail Cunningham, begins July 8 for four weeks from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.  Fee: $100. Class dates will be July 8, 15, 29 and August 5.

Working with acrylic paint, oriental papers, handmade stamps and found objects, Gail will teach a variety of design concepts and will let her students in on some "secrets" for adding additional textures and patterns to their collage work.  Come with an open mind ready to have fun and let's experiment with color and design to create something wonderful! 


Beginning Colored Pencils with Paula Grookett, July 8 to July 29, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. for four weeks.  Fee: $100. Students with little or no colored pencil experience. Class will work on a group project.

Continuing Colored Pencils with Paula Grookett, August 19 to September 9, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. for four weeks.  Fee: $100.  For students who have completed the Beginners Colored Pencil class.  Individual projects.

Japanese Magnolia - Beginning Oil Painting with Mary Hartfield
Fee: $100. Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Begins May 11, 18, 25, June 1, 8 and 15th.
Learn to paint originals from photographs. Sharp focus on realism will be taught. Students will learn many tips on color theory, how and when to use various painting mediums and their effect on the painting.  Everything will be covered from enlarging your photograph, transferring to your canvas and tips on varnishing.

Wine and cheese reception featuring the art of Erica Mallery-Blythe on August 6 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
