AL LEITCH I was fortunate enough to participate in art programs for high school students at the Carnegie Museum of Art and Carnegie Mellon University. At that time I was a recipient of the Gold Key Scholastic Art Award. However, I studied engineering and business and pursued a teaching and research academic career at several major universities.   Inspired by the Hudson River School and their vision of the natural beauty around us I decided to renew my love of art upon retirement from USC. I have taken several art classes and attended numerous workshops from leading artists in South Carolina. I enjoy all forms of art, but landscape pastels are my passion. I recently received the Patron Award at the Crooked Creek Annual Juried Show and Exhibit for one of my pastels. My goal is to capture the majesty of His creation through my paintings.
