CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR TALENTED ARTISTS! 

A BIG congratulations to Carl Crawford for winning awards at both the New Orleans Jazz Festival and at Spoleto in Charleston for his wonderful collage paintings!  Way to go, Carl!

Gail Cunningham
won a merit award for her acrylic painting at the Seven Oaks Art League annual exhibit at the HoPF Gallery on Devine Street.  The show will be up until June 17.  Stop by and see all the wonderful art.

Howard Hunt, Peggy Nunn and Rachel Parker were juried into the Columbia Museum of Arts Contemporary Artist of the Year competition. This annual competition highlights emerging contemporary artists from all over the state.

Karen Langley won Second Place in the Log Cabin Art Guild's juried show and Paula Grookett won a Merit Award also.  Congrats Ladies!

Both Howard Hunt and Karen Langley were recently accepted into galleries in the Lowcountry/Charleston area and Rachel Parker has been invited to display her animal artworks in several shops in the region. 


OUR HIGH SCHOOL FEATURED ARTIST OF THE MONTH
COURTNEY REYNOLDS, Ridgeview High School

The artwork of local artist Courtney Reynolds will be on display at the gallery during the month of July.  Courtney, a Ridgeview High School Advanced Placement student won a Silver Medal(2nd Place) in the 2010 National Competition of the Scholastic Art Awards.  She and her family traveled to New York City in June to receive her prestigious award at Carnegie Hall.  So come visit and view the the work of this very talented young artist.
